A little about me...
I was born and raised in Indiana. I earned my Bachelor's Degree from Franklin College, my Master's Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University, and later pursued my licensure to teach high ability students from Ball State University. I've also taken writing courses from the Institute of Children's Literature and the Picture Book Academy.
I'm an elementary teacher and children's book author. As the Regional Advisor for the Indiana Society for Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, I attend and plan many writing conferences. I'm also on the board of directors for the Indiana State Literacy Association and the high ability coordinator for my school system for K-5 grade students. I share my home with my husband, Matt, our two daughters, Emily and Madison, and dog, two cats, two rats, and two lizards. I enjoy presenting, teaching, writing, traveling, and running very early in the mornings.
