New Year, New Adventures!

What are you looking forward to in the new year? Here are 5 things I'm excited about:

1. Working with a New Publisher! I love the publishers I currently work with, but am expanding my writing world. I'm thrilled to have a new contract with Magination Press!

2. Speaking at Christian events! I love to present at teaching and writing conferences, but as my faith has grown, so has my desire to share my journey with others. I'm delighted to share the keynote, "Your Story Matters" at Heart O' the Lakes church in Michigan in February.

3.  Presenting at a Technology Conference! Trust me, I am no tech wizard; just ask my daughters! However, I do incorporate a lot of technology into my classroom on a   regular basis. I'm delighted to teach at my first ever technology conference at the Apple Summit in St. Louis next month!

4. Teaching for VIP Kids! I've always loved languages. I've taken Spanish and Sign Language courses over the years and have taught English speakers to speak Spanish and Spanish speakers to speak English. I'm excited to now get to teach English to young Chinese students through online courses!

5. Celebrating 20 years of marriage to Matt. We may not have it all figured out, but with God on our side, our faith and our relationship can only grow stronger. This year, for spring break, we are celebrating our milestone with a Christian marriage retreat in Branson, Missouri. Can't wait!
